At Swift Engineering, an Assembly Technician will be working closely with engineers, program managers and other manufacturing team members to assemble composite and metallic products and vehicles for Swift. Pay

Base pay range : $50,960.00/yr - $64,480.00/yr FLSA Status : Non-Exempt (hourly) $24.00 to $31.00 Reports to : Manufacturing Manager Responsibilities

Assemble composite and metallic products and vehicles for Swift Engineering in collaboration with engineers, program managers and the manufacturing team. Follow aerospace assembly processes and safety standards. Work with hand tools and facilities as part of the assembly workflow. Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Personal experience using various hand tools associated with aerospace assembly work. Experience with aerospace fasteners, including hole sizing and torque verification. Experience with aerospace adhesives and resins, including bond prepping, adhesive mixing, dry fitting, bonding with fasteners and cleco tools. Knowledge and experience with advanced composite materials (prepreg epoxy resins with carbon, fiberglass, aramid) per aerospace specs. Experience with adhesives, sealers, resins, bonding jigs, trim & drill fixtures, and oven curing. Experience performing body work on irregular surfaces (filler materials, scuff sanding, primer and touch-up paint). Teamwork and ability to work with others in a collaborative environment. Strong mechanical aptitude for mechanical assemblies across relevant industries (marine, automotive, motorsport, aviation, aerospace, energy). Skills

Clear communication: speak, listen and write in a thorough and timely manner. Take responsibility for workmanship and productivity. Preferred qualifications

Experience reading and interpreting work instructions, specifications, drawings and engineering travelers. Experience running industrial ovens, using pneumatic tools for trimming, drilling and bonding, and using measurement devices. Working Conditions

Regularly required to stand and talk or hear. Occasional sitting, walking, using hands, reaching, climbing, stooping and bending. Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision and hearing requirements as described, with corrected vision to normal range. Equipment Operated : Vacuum pumps, heat sources, special hand tools, ladders, stands, hi-reach lifts. Work Location : Open shop environment, occasionally in a warehouse. Protective Equipment Required : Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses, respirators, breathing equipment. Potential Hazards : Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme temperature changes, airborne substances, materials listed in MSDS, working at heights or around moving machinery.
