Client Description: Our client is a major Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s most innovative technology companies, in the Interactive department. Job title: Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid Work) – Fremont, CA area Duration: 12+ months (potential extensions) Experience: 05+ years with PhD preferred Rate: $95/hr W2 (Paid Semi Monthly) Responsibilities
Participates in the conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of hardware associated with new semiconductor equipment. Designs parts using metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings/plating; collaborates with suppliers to ensure manufacturability within performance and cost objectives. Ensures documentation complies with SEMI, Lam Standards and other standards (ANSI, DIN, etc.); applies GD&T best practices. Performs analytical work to characterize and specify new and existing designs (heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid/gas dynamics, manufacturability). Develops and executes test plans to generate characterization data for validation of design performance. Develops and presents high-quality reports/presentations communicating design intent, analysis, and validation at design reviews. Collaborates with suppliers and internal departments to deliver high-quality, well-tested, cost-optimized solutions. May design, develop, and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and processes for handling, assembly, and disassembly throughout the product life cycle. Establishes standards across operational processes. Prepares deliverables requested by the product development plan (e.g., FMEA, technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, design review presentations). Leadership
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Customer Relations

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or Mechanical Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience HTL 3+ years of relevant work experience Excellent oral and written communication Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus CAD (Solid Edge and NX) Knowledge of MS Office Problem solving CAD/design skills (NX) and material science knowledge Strong communication skills Interview process
A 3-stage panel interview with managers, in-person preferred: Technical review (60 minutes) Technical presentation (45–60 minutes, candidate to prepare a slide presentation) Other details
