Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Utility Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing design work for electric new construction, capital maintenance, and system improvements. Your primary duties will include project initiation, preparation of new improvement designs, cost estimation, and contract management. Key Responsibilities
Perform design work for electrical distribution new construction, capital maintenance, and system improvements. Initiate and manage projects, preparing detailed designs for new improvement projects. Develop accurate cost estimates and contracts for projects. Establish project-specific business relationships and facilitate clients through the company’s New Business Process. Identify and address customer needs and expectations for electric utility design projects. Maintain a strong working knowledge of company standards, tariffs, and relevant regulations. Collaborate with higher-level administrators to ensure the successful execution of design projects. Qualifications
Background in electric and/or gas utility design. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Ability to work independently and under the general direction of senior administrators. Experience in electric utility projects. Engineering degree or related technical qualification. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and MicroStation
