Join us as a

Field Service Engineer

in Newark, NJ, where you\'ll champion the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the

Automatic Train Control (ATC) wayside systems

for the Newark Automated People Mover (APM). In this role, you\'ll ensure safety-critical infrastructure operates optimally, diagnose complex faults, and maintain seamless functionality across all trackside subsystems. What You’ll Do

Lead operations for maintenance, installation, and upgrades of ATC wayside systems to ensure consistent APM performance. Provide technical direction during preventive and corrective maintenance, and assist in department budget planning. Drive reliability improvement initiatives and manage vendors to deliver on scope, budget, and timelines. Investigate service interruptions with root cause analysis and compile engineering incident reports with corrective actions. Maintain preventive and corrective maintenance programs that align with contract requirements and company standards. Develop and deliver training, testing, and certification documentation; support field change requests and upgrades. Support configuration control, CAD updating, and documentation for system changes. Coordinate engineering projects, such as obsolescence management, testing/commissioning, compliance verification, and procurement planning. Supervise contractors, participate in emergency drills, and ensure safe, efficient operations. Analyze performance trends and recommend long-term system reliability improvements. Who You Are

You have a

Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering

(Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related), or equivalent technical experience. You bring

3+ years of mechanical or ATC-related system experience , preferably in rolling stock, automation, or similar technical fields. You’re proficient with

Microsoft Office ,

AutoCAD , and understand SCADA or wayside communication systems. You bring strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
