Overview
Join our team as a Residential Youth Clinical Supervisor (internally titled Licensed Milieu Supervisor) in our Child and Family Treatment Center (CFTC), a 24-hour residential treatment program providing trauma-informed care to youth with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Lawrence Hall serves over 1,400 youth and families annually and is a statewide leader in trauma-informed care and innovative therapeutic treatment. This position requires the use of verbal and physical intervention skills with individuals aged 6 through 21, with physical intervention abilities including kneeling and returning to standing without assistance. Essential Functions & Core Responsibilities
Supervise and provide leadership to the core team, including Case Manager, Therapist, and Unit Coordinator. Foster a positive, trauma-informed culture, emphasize respect, empowerment, and collaboration. Co-chair weekly Core Team meetings and lead staff in integrating clinical feedback. Ensure delivery of high-quality clinical interventions, including trauma-informed therapies, treatment modalities, and youth-centered care. Collaborate in short-term and long-term strategic planning to improve residential services. Align programming, treatment interventions, and daily operations with the agency's mission and regulatory requirements. Lead group supervision sessions for the core team, provide clinical guidance, feedback, and support. Oversee onboarding, reflective supervision, training, and development for new staff. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures; make recommendations for program improvements. Ensure timely and thorough documentation in line with agency, DCFS, Medicaid, and other regulatory standards. Review and approve critical incident reports and client files. Analyze program data to identify trends and lead initiatives to improve outcomes, reduce incidents, and ensure safety protocol compliance. Participate in quality improvement activities, including COA accreditation and licensing reviews. Manage unit budget, ensuring expenditures align with parameters and financial forecasts. In partnership with the Residential Clinical Manager and Residential Vice President, evaluate staff performance, facilitate reflective supervision, recommend employment status changes, and provide ongoing professional development opportunities. Be available on-call to address emergencies or critical incidents and provide consultation to the team as needed. Oversee safety protocols, including fire drills and physical restraint procedures. Ensure safety logs and incident forms are completed and reviewed. Provide direct supervision and guidance to staff in implementing trauma-informed, evidence-based clinical interventions and treatment modalities. Chair pre-admission and monthly treatment planning staffings, ensuring alignment with Family First Act requirements. Coordinate with internal and external contacts, including regulatory agencies and referral sources, to ensure efficient service delivery and accreditation compliance. Lead efforts to increase training compliance, improve staff retention, and address critical incidents. Maintain professional knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in trauma-informed care and residential treatment. Maintain flexibility to adjust work schedules based on program needs and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Master's degree with LCSW, LCPC, or Psychologist required. Five years related experience and 3+ years of progressive supervisory/administrative experience in the human services field. Working knowledge of Illinois child welfare regulations. Ability to provide effective leadership to promote smooth operation of the agency's services. Well-developed management and written and oral communication and computer skills. A clean driving record, valid Illinois driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and proof of auto insurance. No history of child abuse or neglect and ability to pass background and drug screen. Work Schedule
1st shift (9:00 am–5:00 pm) three days per week and prime shift (1:00 pm–12:00 am) two days per week, plus on-call availability as needed. Job Impact

Work may be indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions. Travel to other locations may be required. Schedule may include varied shifts on case needs; the potential for injury or secondary trauma exists. All employees must complete and maintain certifications relevant to their role. This position requires Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) with restraint training and recertification every six months. Application of these skills is essential in daily work. Base salary with potential additional compensation based on education and experience. Range: $68,300–$73,000. Time Off Benefits (PTO): 17–25 days, plus 9 paid holidays.
