Senior Transaction Manager - Healthcare
role at CBRE. You will manage a team focused on acquisitions and dispositions of property and land use projects for a large healthcare client’s portfolio. Transactions include surplus asset dispositions, land and medical office building (MOB) acquisitions and dispositions, ground leases, and real estate donations. You will also direct land-related initiatives such as parcel updates, easements, and zoning matters to support the organization’s strategic and operational goals. What You’ll Do
Oversee the strategic disposition of surplus assets, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and financial targets. Manage the acquisition and disposition of land and MOBs, including due diligence, financial modeling, and stakeholder communication while meeting the client’s requirements and timelines. Structure and negotiate complex ground leases and development-related agreements. Direct land-focused projects, including parcel adjustments, zoning changes, and easement negotiations. Facilitate property donations in compliance with legal, tax, and governance requirements. Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Implement complex real estate plans with an understanding of the client's strategic real estate goals. Assist with project initiation and scope definition, prioritization of assignments, and adherence to client-driven priorities, commitments, and milestones. Act as a landlord or seller agent and tenant or buyer agent and effectively negotiate the business terms and conditions. Coordinate the negotiation of sales through a field broker, including negotiating leases and lease amendments, monitoring lease expirations, and negotiating lease renewals in time. Locate and acquire new properties to meet the client's requirements and timeline. Review, evaluate, and interpret financial analysis templates, including book and cash flow projections, NPV or IRR analyses to enable informed client decisions. Work closely with Lease Administration, Project Management, Facility Management, and Finance and Accounting teams to ensure integration between service lines. Prepare commission forecasts and vouchers, and track savings results achieved on behalf of clients. Monitor a real estate project tracking system to ensure timely transaction completion; prepare reports and presentations to relevant parties. Apply broad knowledge of the business and how the discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. Lead by example and model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values. Influence others while adhering to policies and departmental plans. Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity. Understand the broader impact across the department.
