MRI Technologist - Full Time - Part Time - Multiple Shifts

General Summary
Henry Ford Hospitals are looking for MRI Technologists! We currently have full time, part time and PRN opportunities on all shifts. We are currently offering up to $7,500 sign-on bonus! We also offer competitive pay and a robust benefits package for part-time and full-time positions. Cross training opportunities are available for Nuclear Medicine Technologists who are interested in pursuing a career in MRI.
Responsibilities
Operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat pathologies.
Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and other areas in the department.
Education/Experience Required
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Certification/License Required
BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT) credential within 12 months of hire; Nuclear Medical Tech (NMTCB) credential before hire; Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT) before hire; Medical Sonographer credential (ARDMS) within 12 months; Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARMRIT) before hire.
