Position Summary
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Health Sciences Center is actively expanding and invites applications for a Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Surgeon to join our dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a thriving clinical practice at the UNM Hospital Eye Clinic, collaborate with existing faculty to share on-call responsibilities, and contribute to the education of medical students and residents. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, teaching, and research within an academic setting. The Eye Clinic at UNM, as part of the UNM Health System, offers a mix of tertiary and underserved care.

Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an Ophthalmology Residency Program
Completion of a Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship
Board certified/eligible in Ophthalmology
Eligible for licensure in New Mexico
Eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in clinical education
Experience in clinical research
