Scripps Health . Overview Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and downtown San Diego since 1890 and is the oldest medical center in the county. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest. Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista. The San Diego campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit). Position type : This is a full-time position (Mon-Fri) at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest. Outpatient and Inpatient – Neuro and Ortho patients with focus on Neuro. Bonus Eligible. Team and setting : Outpatient and inpatient neuro and orthopedic populations; may train in inpatient and float to inpatient when outpatient schedule is not filled. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations, assessments, prognosis, treatment, and education as prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner, in compliance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Title 16 regulations. Treat a combination of neuro and ortho patients in the outpatient setting, with inpatient training as needed; may treat post-CVA (stroke), neurodegenerative diseases, complex trauma, traumatic brain injuries, post-surgical ortho, and other joint pain/overuse injuries. Deliver patient-centered care and collaborate with caregivers to support recovery and function. Incentives and relocation $4K New Hire Retention Incentive: 30% at 3 months and 70% at 12 months; $3K Relocation if moving from 100+ miles. The Following Are Not Eligible For Hiring Incentives: Internal candidates; Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago. Incentive eligibility requires meeting ongoing criteria (e.g., original FTE status, department/specialty and job title, and location transfer rules as applicable). Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy. Licensed as a PT in the State of California OR License Pending (must have license in hand before start). Current BLS Certificate from the American Heart Association. Preferred experience At least one year of experience in inpatient or outpatient neuro settings. Position pay range:
