Lead the collaborative development of RPT programs at UT, UTMC and ORNL to advance nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals and oversee activities such as staffing, student recruitment, and stakeholder relationship management. Pursue leading research and support efforts to create an environment of excellence in research, innovation, translation, education, and workforce development. Expand collaborations between UT, UTMC, ORNL and other regional, national and international partners. Leverage all relevant assets at UT, UTMC, and ORNL to lead stakeholder relationships and build a sustainable, well-funded portfolio of RPT activities. Engage with Tennessee communities and community organizations to amplify translational impact on patient outcomes. Develop new curricular offerings in nuclear medicine and RPT; provide training for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Qualifications

Candidates will hold a PhD in Chemistry, Nuclear Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry & Cellular and Molecular Biology or closely related fields, or an MD/PhD in Radiology, Radiation Oncology or Nuclear Medicine or closely related fields, at tenured professor or senior researcher level at a research institution, industry, or national lab. Experience with clinical trials related to diagnostic imaging (PET/CT, SPECT) or radionuclide therapy is beneficial. A strong record of research demonstrated through publications, invited talks, leadership roles, and success in extramural grants is expected. Research strengths in one or more of the following areas: production of radionuclides for imaging or therapy; design of chelators and nanocarriers for targeted radionuclide delivery; development of targeting agents for cancer and metastatic disease; theranostics for imaging and treatment; radiation dosimetry, optimization, and use of computational and AI tools; or combination therapies. Commitment to educating the next generation of experts and mentoring junior researchers. Ability to obtain a site-access badge for Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Application Instructions
