Overview
The Springs Resort, the #1 Hot Springs & Spa Resort destination as voted by USA TODAY, is looking for an experienced and passionate Social Media Specialist to lead our video-forward content creation across social media, Meta ads, website, and other marketing channels. This is a hands-on creative role: shooting, editing, strategizing, while engaging with our online audience and supporting campaigns, special events, and day-to-day needs. You’ll report to the Marketing Manager and help tell a brand story people can feel. Location: On-site at The Springs Resort, Pagosa Springs, CO. Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional evening/weekend work during on-property events for content needs, plus weekend and Holiday monitoring of comments and engagement. Work Split: 50% field work (shooting content around resort), 50% office-based editing and strategy.
Responsibilities
Video-Forward Content Creation: conceptualize, film, and edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook; develop and adapt creative ads for Meta; test and optimize campaigns to meet goals; capture authentic resort experiences through planned shoots and agile on-the-fly content; repurpose video for multiple channels including email, website, and print; plan and execute a monthly content marketing plan focused on monthly KPIs; set short-term goals for content initiatives aligned with branding and marketing objectives; collaborate with the marketing team to produce high-quality content that emphasizes the resort experience and offerings; strategize content generation plans for resort events and activities.
Content Curation: maintain an organized content management system; curate and deliver engaging content regularly for various social platforms; apply effective copywriting practices including drafting, editing, proofreading, and updating written content.
Multimedia Production: align web, social, video, and print content for consistency; prepare content for multiple channels with light media editing and graphic design for photo, video, and graphic content; manage professional photography, video shoots, and deliverables to capture the resort experience.
Social Media Management: achieve organic growth metrics; monitor and respond to comments, messages, and tags to foster guest relationships; stay ahead of trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to keep content fresh.
Collaboration and Coordination: work with marketing, resort, and event teams to align content with business goals; collaborate with influencers and partners to amplify the resort’s digital presence.
Influencer Partnerships: identify, vet, and manage influencer relationships; coordinate visits, content deliverables, and cross-promotion; track influencer performance and integrate content into campaigns.
Branding: ensure consistent branding across all content channels and materials to maintain a cohesive brand identity.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field OR proven experience as a Content Manager or similar role.
2+ years of social media management with a portfolio showing follower growth and engagement.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and project management abilities.
Proficiency in multimedia production tools, graphic design, and video editing software (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
Up-to-date with industry trends and tools; experience with social media management and analytics tools; familiarity with SEO best practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Skilled in website CMS platforms like WordPress, able to edit templates, create new pages, and add optimized content.
2+ years of experience with team and task management.
