Job Description Karma Games is a growing team based in Berlin/Germany, always on the lookout for new members. Our goal is to become one of the leading publishers of mid-to heavy strategy games. We strive to create strong evergreen board games, that enter the top 200 on Boardgamegeek and that will keep being played & reprinted in 10+ years. To achieve this goal, we work hard, create world-class processes with a lot of automation and keep growing as a team. This way, we get a lot done despite being a small team with limited resources.
Our company culture is driven, goal-oriented, and friendly. Our communication is rather direct and analytical. The best argument wins, no matter if it was suggested by the intern or the CEO. Yet we maintain a playful and fun vibe.
Responsibilities As a Graphic Designer at Karma Games, you will be responsible for the following:
Graphic design for our current and upcoming board games; starting with designs for physical and digital prototypes all the way to the final production of the board game.
Potentially some illustrative tasks depending on your skill set
Layout of rulebooks
Social media and ad designs
Much more!
Role Requirements We are looking for someone with:
Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent with solid grades
Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator; bonus points for experience with 3D tools such as Blender
Vast knowledge and deep understanding of board games
Experience in graphic design both for print and for online
Great sense for design aesthetics and respective trends
Bonus points if you have any illustrative skills
Well structured and able to work independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
At least very fluent in English, bonus points if you have a good grasp of German as well
