School Library Media Specialist, Forestville CSD
Job Location: Forestville, NY
Job Location: Forestville, NY Salary Range or Hourly Rate: Not listed Job Description:
The position of Library Media Specialist for the Forestville Central School District is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who wants to make an impact on an entire community. A small, peaceful, rural district that is an easy thirty to forty minute drive from southern Erie County and communities such as Hamburg and Orchard Park and is also only a quick fifteen minutes away from the college town of Fredonia, NY. With a population of less than 500 students in grades K-12, it is possible to know all the children in the district and to work with all their teachers as well. Forestville CSD is divided into two buildings that are easy walking distance from each other. The Elementary school houses children from pre-K to grade six while the students in grades seven through twelve attend the middle/high school building just up the hill. With libraries in both buildings the new Library Media Specialist would have the unique opportunity to build on a program that already meets the needs of all children in the school community. The current elementary schedule has children coming to the library twice a week while the Media Center in the middle/high school is central to the daily life of the building! Appointment Status
