About The Position The Digital Marketing Specialist will support and/or execute the marketing strategy for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. The ideal candidate will be a talented, driven marketer, experienced in successful digital campaigns utilizing the integrated marketing model. This position will be responsible for supporting marketing initiatives through the website, email, and digital channels. This position will lead marketing efforts with the events management system, including oversight of digital event entry and associated marketing campaigns. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work collaboratively with members of the Marketing team and across the enterprise to execute marketing campaigns driving awareness, conversions, lead generation, sales, and fundraising. Main Duties

Support the technical build-out and implementation of website pages, email, external calendar management, and digital marketing campaigns. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support and execute email campaigns, including the content planning, template designs, calls-to-action, and website landing pages for segmented marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition and revenue. Ensure optimization of website through tagging, search engine optimization, and keywords. Copy editing and image selection for peer-entered events via the Events Management System, ensuring adherence to timelines, SEO optimization, and brand style. Assist Foundation Marketing & Outreach team with content development to include creating content for web, social, and email, maintaining brand awareness on partnership websites, onsite collateral, and guest orientation both onsite and online. Work collaboratively with Sr. Brand Manager to ensure brand consistency in text and imagery across digital collateral. Provide support as needed to colleagues within the marketing team, including Associate Vice President of Marketing. Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a marketing, communications, or business-related field and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Superior attention to detail. Exceptional writing abilities and presentation skills. Familiarity with creative platforms such as Canva, YouTube, and Adobe Creative Suite. Preferred Qualifications

Functional knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices. Background and interest in U.S. history. Key Skills / Competencies

Knowledge of web design, development, and implementation, including basic composition, page layout, and presentation packages Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, high-volume communications, marketing, or public relations function with strong cross-functional partnership experience and knowledge of digital marketing and communications best practices. Skilled at building and maintaining collaborative relationships. Demonstrated organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects with multiple stakeholders. Driven to meet deadlines. Positive interpersonal skills, critical thinking, flexibility and initiative. Proficiency with HTML and Content Management Systems Experience using Email Service Provider (ESP) tools Typical Work Schedule

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc., as directed and approved by the supervisor. Residency
