Overview
Media Relations Associate - Media and Public Relations at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. This role supports proactive and reactive media engagement under the direction of the Senior Director of Media & PR, coordinating media interviews, press events, and media projects with journalists, producers, and hospital staff. Responsibilities
Manage proactive and reactive media engagement for NewYork-Presbyterian. Coordinate media interviews, press events, and media projects with journalists, producers, and hospital staff. Uphold institutional policies and contribute to crisis communications. Monitor media mentions and relevant breaking news. Serve as a key liaison during emergency situations and high-profile media coverage. Fulfill regular on-call responsibilities and on-site duties; this is a dynamic and highly visible position within the hospitals communications team. Maintain on-site presence as required (variable by role) and participate in on-call rotation including weekend coverage. Qualifications
Preferred Criteria
Degree major in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field Required Criteria
Bachelors degree Minimum of two years related experience in a public relations agency or broadcast news setting Excellent writing and verbal skills Exceptional attention to detail Details
Location: Corporate Office in mid-town Manhattan with the ability for 1 day remote Employment type: Full-time Seniority level: Entry level Salary Range: $87,500-$94,000 per year Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is high.
