Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, this position plans, develops and implements a comprehensive marketing plan for the Agency, including goals, objectives and strategies for promoting and publicizing transit services to increase ridership and assure that guests and the public are fully informed of available transit services; conceptualizes the content and design of promotional, informational and educational materials and assures their timely development, production and distribution; designs and produces a variety of schedules, signs, and other graphic materials that inform riders about transit services; coordinate the Agency’s advertising programs with guest services and other support operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement the Agency\'s comprehensive marketing plan to assure that regular, new, and special transit services are efficiently and effectively publicized and promoted in the community. Design and create on-brand print and digital materials in alignment with the Marketing Plan. Write content for press releases, website, radio, newsletters, social media, and other media to promote the Agency. Serve as a spokesperson and media contact for the Agency when necessary. Design and oversee final schedule production of Ride Guide route and schedule book, and distribution of materials. Produce and coordinate the installation of route and schedule information at bus stops. Design and produce materials such as maps, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and advertisements for distribution by outreach, guest services, planning, operations, and other departments as needed to publicize and promote transit services for guests in the communities served by the Agency. Coordinate with staff to obtain current and accurate information about route and schedule changes and convey these changes to the public using a variety of communications channels. Design and coordinate production and installation of interior and exterior bus signs. Design, produce, and install vehicle branding and identity graphics. Design, produce or coordinate the production of Agency signage for facilities and routes. Design, develop, produce, and distribute special graphic materials requested by staff, such as signage for internal events, employee certificates, letterhead, envelopes, business cards, maps, records and reports, and other media. Provide communication expertise throughout the Agency to assist staff in achieving their goals; work integrally with other Agency personnel to identify and promote new transit routes and services. Work with Link staff to develop survey instruments based on research requirements and coordinate how the survey is conducted on Link Transit vehicles or at other locations; work with contracted research firms to develop scope of work and cost estimates; coordinate the work in managing project, data entry, tabulation, and analysis. Coordinate and monitor the development of advertising and promotional materials by commercial artists, printers, and other outside vendors; scope job requirements; develop and prepare bid specifications; monitor progress; proof and edit materials; and assure compliance with established timelines and quality standards. Prepare and maintain records and reports related to marketing materials produced, including expenditures, vendors, schedules, and other activities. Assist the Outreach Specialist with public relations activities in the communities served by the Agency. Assist with the planning and monitoring of the annual marketing budget in accordance with Agency policies and principles of sound fiscal management. Perform other related duties as assigned. Any combination equivalent to: bachelor\'s degree in graphic design, marketing, public relations, communications or closely related field, and at least three years of increasingly responsible marketing, public relations and communications experience involving the conception, design, and production of informational and promotional materials, including experience in social media, print, non-print, advertising, art media, and some experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.
