Overview
Paraprofessional, English Learner Program (EL) – August 2025 rate starts at: $18.90 per hour. Position description includes assisting classroom teachers and support personnel with instruction, monitoring student progress, and maintaining records. Responsibilities
Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of materials or skills introduced by certified staff. Models appropriate behaviors for students. Develops and maintains a professional rapport with classroom teachers and other staff. Assists students at arrival and dismissal of school. Assists in supervision of students during lunch and recess periods. Assists with grading and reviewing homework as instructed by the classroom teacher. Assists teachers in monitoring, collecting data and maintaining records regarding student performance and progress. Performs routine classroom management and maintenance duties. Performs assigned supervision of students during lunch and recess periods. Organizes and retrieves materials and schedules according to guidelines. Knowledge of computers and ability to assist students with educational technology and software. Performs other duties as assigned. An Associate's degree, OR completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours at an institution of higher learning, OR demonstrated proficiency in the ability to assist in instruction of reading, writing and mathematics via state or locally approved competency test. Ability to speak, read and write English and another language proficiently. Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information. Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, balance, stoop, climb steps and reach overhead. Additional Qualifications

Work Schedule: 185 duty days Duty Hours: 7 hours per day. Specific hours vary by building and position, Monday through Friday Salary: Wages are administered consistent with negotiated agreement or board adopted salary schedule Job Functions And Responsibilities
