Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, may vary based on events Expected Starting Salary Range:

$51,912.00 - $67,485.60 Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Develop and implement outreach initiatives and event programming that enhances Manatee County's arts, culture, and heritage organizations to prospective visitors. Plan and coordinate large-scale signature events and seek new opportunities to bring unique experiences to the community. Develop and build partnerships with non-profits, government organizations, and other stakeholders. Design and distribute promotional materials, manage and update website and social media channels, and maintain marketing calendars. Coordinate media relations, submit event listings, and maintain contact with local outlets. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, vendors, and local organizations; track documentation and invoicing. Assist with planning, organizing, and staffing community events and farmers markets; support on-site event logistics (set up, vendor check-in, customer engagement). Track marketing performance metrics and assist with post-event evaluations. Develop and market Manatee County activities, services, venues and events (e.g., signature events, ground-breakings, ribbon cuttings, open houses). Develop and integrate plans with County departments to achieve objectives; contribute to long-term strategic plans and quarterly milestones. Develop systems to track progress and communicate results to industry stakeholders. May develop and manage a web and social media presence to raise awareness of arts, culture, and heritage activities in Manatee County. Actively seek new opportunities to bring recreational, arts, culture, and heritage experiences to residents and visitors. Perform other related work (including weather or emergency duties) as required. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management) or equivalent combinations of education and experience Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in public relations, marketing, event coordination, or a related field Valid Florida driver's license Equivalents: combinations of education and experience may be considered Knowledge, Abilities And Skills

Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Photoshop, etc.; strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County employees and community organizations Advanced knowledge of fundraising, grant-writing, budgeting, marketing and public relations, social media, and event planning Entrepreneurial, adaptable, action-oriented, energetic, creative; able to work independently or as part of a team Ability to travel; ability to work evenings or weekends for events as needed Veterans Preference
