As a Live Production CoE Manager at Warner Bros Discovery's News, Sports, and Entertainment Live Production centers in Atlanta, Georgia, you will lead the convergence of information technology and broadcast engineering technology. You will align technology with short- and long-term business goals, participate in strategy development with clients and partners, and leverage cross-divisional engineering expertise to deliver products and services that support company objectives. Your Role
You will manage the Live Production team responsible for the Center of Excellence, Applications and iNews, ensuring alignment with business requirements and operational needs. You will work to design, build, configure, automate, maintain, and provide advanced support for the movement and transformation of video in a 24x7x365 live production environment. Key Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures standards. Analyze staff performance and provide guidance to support career development. Foster trust among colleagues and exercise appropriate delegation of tasks. Represent the team’s interests, objectives, and principles. Identify, lead and/or participate in team-building initiatives. Be open to change, embrace new technologies, and stay updated with industry trends. Translate business requirements into functional specifications; assemble hardware, networking, and software components; interface with automation, monitoring, and logging tools; ensure availability, performance, capacity planning, and security. Provide enhanced oversight and guidance to daily operations of Warner Bros Discovery’s Live Production Centers of Excellence; lead a team to make informed technical decisions to deliver production requirements and protect on-air brands. Evaluate and prioritize incidents in ServiceNow; communicate status updates to partners; act as escalation point during major incidents; plan training and maintain knowledge base to improve KPIs. Manage key vendor relationships; liaise for escalations and collaborative product development; drive external partnerships to align with evolving technical goals. Qualifications & Experience
A four-year engineering degree (or equivalent work experience in Live Broadcast engineering) with 10+ years of experience in a Broadcast environment. Knowledge and troubleshooting skills in live broadcasting. Understanding of News workflows and NRCS (Newsroom Computer Systems). Ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively, with strong written and verbal communication skills. How We Get Things Done
