The

Chief Financial Officer

is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and reporting on the financial affairs and operations of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany.

As the

Chief Financial Officer , you will play a pivotal role in individuals\' lives, making a significant impact through:

Responsibilities

Responsible for oversight and management of the financial systems of Catholic Charities, (i.e. budget, general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable, payable and cash management);

Responsible for mentoring, providing advice/guidance, and performing accounting tasks as needed, to ensure the continuity of services to all stakeholders.

Reviews and analyzes annual and monthly financial statements for review and approval by the Finance Committee and the Board of Trustees of Catholic Charities;

Analyzes finances of Catholic Charities and funding sources and presents reports and projections to the Chief Executive Officer;

Provides direction and guidance to local agencies to improve their fiscal viability and streamline financial operations; chair the monthly fiscal directors meetings;

Provides oversight to the weekly administration of all payroll and benefit programs of Catholic Charities;

Provides oversight for the annual audit of the Executive Office and the system-wide audit;

Serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustee Finance Committee;

Compensation and Schedule Chief Financial Officer

Minimum Salary: $125,000

Chief Financial Officer

Maximum Salary: $135,000

Chief Financial Officer

Schedule: Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Qualifications Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting Required

CPA Certification Strongly Preferred

Experience:

3+ years of Auditing Experience (with CPA designation preferred)

Experience with Not-For-Profit or Human Services organization preferred

Department Specific:

Experience or knowledge of Sage Intacct preferred

Demonstrated ability to manage people, teams, and organizational projects;

Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and maintain rigor to accomplish tasks within established time frames;

Demonstrated knowledge of Information Technology systems, ability to assess I.T. plan to make recommendations, and to administer the organizational I.T. plan
