Role Overview Rockwell Group is seeking a full-time well-rounded Senior Interior Designer with strong management and design skills (min. 5 years of hospitality design experience is required) who can lead projects and manage a design team. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and document concepts for interiors and space planning Sketch preliminary designs and produce visualizations from 3D models that reflect the proposed floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and FF&E Create design presentations, mood boards, and material boards/binders to help convey look and feel of design concepts to clients Prepare design specifications and coordinate with project architects and project managers to ensure project completion in compliance with design intent Interface with clients to determine project requirements and advise on interior design scope including space planning, furnishings, material selection, and color coordination Lead and manage design team, collaborate with studio Directors and Project Managers, and report project status to Studio Leaders and Partners Requirements
10+ years of experience in architecture or interiors; preferred focus on interior design Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or relevant field Minimum of 5 years of hospitality design experience is required Knowledgeable in materials, finishes, millwork design, FF&E, and OS&E Strong experience in spec writing; knowledge of Specsources is preferred Experience with all project phases (Concept through Construction Administration), including built work; must have experience reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals Expertise in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud; knowledge of Rhino, Revit, Enscape, and V-Ray are preferred but not required Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to meet fast-pace and changing deadlines Highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail Enthusiasm for working on multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative teams To apply, please submit a PDF resume and PDF of relevant work samples and/or portfolio.
