Overview
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Project Controls Professional I will assist project teams in developing scope, preparing detailed schedules in P6, and integrating cost estimates for resource-loaded projections. The role includes tracking budgets, evaluating cost performance, managing data systems, and supporting continuous improvement through consistency reviews and reporting. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA. Pay rate: $50.68 – $70.78 Base pay range

Assist in developing project scope and collaborate with assigned teams Prepare Level 1–4 detailed implementation schedules using Primavera P6 Integrate cost estimates with schedules for resource-loaded projections Analyze schedule deviations and report potential cost/schedule impacts Evaluate real-time cost data and recommend corrective actions Support development of accurate Estimate to Completion (ETC) forecasts Generate reports on financial health and scope/funding changes Track and record budget changes and communicate impacts to finance Implement approved budget and schedule changes into baseline plans Enter and manage project data across various databases Perform consistency reviews and apply lessons learned for improvement Attend project meetings and provide process improvement recommendations Execute tasks as delegated and maintain alignment with project procedures Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field and 0–2 years in project controls, scheduling, or cost control (internship/co-op experience acceptable). OR AA degree and 4 years project controls, scheduling, or cost control (internship/co-op experience acceptable) in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. OR High School diploma or GED and 8 years project controls, scheduling, or cost control (internship/co-op experience acceptable) in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. No certifications required; CAPM or entry-level project management coursework is a plus Basic understanding of project management principles Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6 preferred but not required) Proficient in Microsoft Excel Good organizational and communication skills Knowledge of Earned Value Management methodology and project controls Experience with variance analysis and project reporting Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint Understanding of professional project management principles Strong skills in administration, time management, and teamwork Effective written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to groups Detail-oriented with strong analytical, mathematical, and data validation skills Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and manage interrelated activities Strong keyboarding and organizational skills Self-starter with the ability to work independently Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday is desired Familiarity with utility industry operations and nuclear plant processes (BWR preferred) is desired Experience in process improvement and general accounting principles is desired Work sponsorship is not available at this time.
