Overview
The Project Controls Analyst plays a key role in supporting large-scale, complex projects by developing detailed implementation schedules, integrating cost and schedule data, and providing financial analysis to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in project controls software, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Location:
Richland, WA 99354 Pay:
$88.48/hour Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing project scopes and collaborate with project teams. Create Level 1–4 project schedules using
Primavera P6 . Integrate cost estimates with schedules to produce resource-loaded cost flow projections. Analyze schedule deviations and assess impacts on cost and timelines. Monitor real-time cost data and recommend corrective actions for variances. Collaborate with Project Managers to develop accurate
Estimates to Completion (ETC) . Generate financial and performance reports for stakeholders. Track and communicate budget changes to Corporate Finance. Implement approved changes into baseline schedules. Ensure schedule accuracy and scope alignment. Process journal entries and correct mischarges in financial systems. Maintain configuration control and perform consistency reviews. Identify and apply Lessons Learned for continuous improvement. Attend project meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Champion core values and customer service in all interactions. Required Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in
Primavera P6 ,
MS Project , and
Microsoft Excel
(pivot tables, lookups). Strong understanding of
Earned Value Management (EVM)
and cost tracking. Ability to interpret and analyze project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Strong analytical, mathematical, and data validation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented and self-motivated. Desired Skills & Tools
Experience supporting projects with budgets of
$25M+ . Familiarity with
Microsoft Power BI ,
Asset Suite ,
Workday , and
Workday Adaptive Planning . Utility industry experience, especially in
nuclear plant operations . Knowledge of
GAAP
and process improvement methodologies. Education & Experience Requirements
Option 1:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field +
3–5 years
of relevant experience. Option 2:
Associate degree +
7 years
of relevant experience. Option 3:
High School diploma/GED +
9 years
of relevant experience. Preferred Certifications
EIT (Engineer-in-Training) CCP (Certified Cost Professional) PMI-SP (Project Scheduling Professional) Seniority level
