Overview
The Project Controls Analyst supports project teams by developing scopes, creating detailed implementation schedules (Level 1–4) using Primavera P6, and integrating cost estimates with schedules to produce resource-loaded cost flow projections. This role monitors project performance, analyzes deviations, and recommends corrective actions to mitigate cost and schedule overruns. The analyst collaborates with Project Managers to maintain accurate forecasts and financial health reports, tracks budget changes, and ensures proper documentation and configuration control throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Develop project scopes and collaborate with project teams. Create and maintain detailed schedules in Primavera P6. Integrate cost and schedule data for financial projections. Analyze schedule deviations and cost impacts. Monitor real-time cost data and recommend corrective actions. Generate financial health reports and scope/funding updates. Track and communicate budget changes to Corporate Finance. Implement approved changes into baseline schedules. Ensure schedule accuracy and scope alignment. Update schedule status monthly in P6. Process journal entries and correct mischarges. Enter and manage data across various databases. Maintain configuration control and perform consistency reviews. Identify and apply Lessons Learned for continuous improvement. Attend project meetings and support process improvements. Champion core values and customer service. Required Skills & Abilities
Basic understanding of project management principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with MS Project and Primavera P6. Knowledge of Earned Value Management and project controls. Strong analytical, mathematical, and data-checking skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Detail-oriented and self-motivated. Desired Skills
Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday. Utility industry experience and understanding of nuclear plant operations. Process improvement experience. General knowledge of GAAP. Education & Experience Requirements
Option 1:
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, or related field + 0–2 years in project controls (internship/co-op acceptable). Option 2:
Associate degree + 4 years in project controls (internship/co-op acceptable). Option 3:
High School diploma/GED + 8 years in project controls (internship/co-op acceptable). Location
