Performs professional work coordinating programs that support the mission and daily operations of Domestic Animal Services, with an emphasis on marketing, social media, and community engagement to promote animal adoptions, foster programs, pet placement partnerships, and outreach events. Develops and implements strategic marketing and social media campaigns to increase adoption awareness, promote shelter programs, and strengthen the DAS brand across multiple platforms. Creates engaging, high-quality content for print, video, website, newsletters, and social media, ensuring consistency with County communication standards. Plans, coordinates, promotes, and presents special events both on-site and in the community, working to expand visibility, participation, and fundraising opportunities. Builds and maintains relationships with local media, community partners, businesses, and rescue organizations to increase collaboration and outreach. Tracks and analyzes social media and campaign performance, preparing reports and recommendations to improve reach and engagement. Designs, prepares, and distributes flyers, promotional materials, press releases, and adoption spotlights. Assists the public, volunteers, and fosters with general inquiries and provides accurate program information. Maintains and updates the DAS website and social media outlets; develops new features and content to highlight adoptable animals and shelter programs. Monitors and follows up on leads and partnership opportunities to increase adoptions, revenue, and community support. Supports overall division objectives by coordinating with other County communications and outreach teams. Additional Functions

Performs related duties as required. Essential employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency as determined by the County’s Administrative Office. Requirements

Associate degree required. Three (3) years of related experience. Candidates without a degree should possess two (2) additional years of related experience. Experience with social media management tools, content creation, and community outreach strongly preferred. Fingerprinting required. LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

May be required to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a county vehicle as provided in CMA 5805. Salary offers above the minimum pay grade may be considered based on qualifications. Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County’s Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incident-by-incident basis.
