Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. Assignment Editor/Writer/Producer
– per-diem position WNYW seeks a per-diem Assignment Editor/Writer/Producer. Responsibilities include assigning reporters and crews to cover stories; coordinating camera crew and live trucks; monitoring police/fire/EMS radios for breaking news; responsible for monitoring news networks and all news sources; developing and setting up news stories. Line produce and write for fast-paced, high story count, local, live newscasts; individual must be able to perform desktop editing for vo/sots and build graphic elements. Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working on an assignment desk in a local newsroom; must be able to prioritize and be aggressive in obtaining information and sources; writing and fill-in line producing for a news show in a major market with the ability to write and produce segments within a newscast; must be creative and work well under pressure; New York City experience a plus; Digital experience required. Candidate will also be required to join the WGA East union. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience and in accordance with the applicable union collective bargaining agreement is: $21.04--$49.79 per hour.
