Director of Marketing and Communications at T-REX (in-person, contract role) to drive our digital storytelling, brand engagement, and organizational support. The role blends creative content creation with administrative excellence, ensuring social channels, campaigns, and internal projects are executed with precision and impact. About T-REX
T-REX is a nonprofit tech hub and startup incubator based in downtown St. Louis. We help early-stage companies get off the ground and provide space, tools, and backing to grow. We focus on tech innovation—from software to hardware, civic tech to startups solving real-world problems—and aim to build momentum for St. Louis by creating opportunity and supporting local talent. Compensation
Base Salary: $60,000–$65,000 (depending on experience) Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Marketing Design compelling graphics, visual assets, and multimedia content. Write and edit engaging copy across platforms (social media, website, newsletters). Manage and execute a content calendar, ensuring consistent and strategic messaging. Oversee social media ad buying and campaign management. Track engagement metrics and provide insights to optimize performance. Capture photography and/or coordinate photo assets for campaigns (preferred). Assist with budget tracking for social media campaigns on a limited scale. Ability to stay past normal business hours to capture events. Administration & Project Support Provide administrative support to the team, including scheduling, communications, and task tracking. Apply strong project management skills to coordinate timelines, deadlines, and deliverables. Maintain organized documentation for projects, campaigns, and workflows. Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment in messaging and branding. Qualifications
Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). Strong copywriting and editing skills with attention to tone and accuracy. Demonstrated experience in content calendar creation and execution. Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills. Experience with ad buying and campaign management (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.). Photography skills preferred but not required. Experience with budget tracking and management at a basic level.
