Overview

Asset Protection Coordinator (Part Time) at Bass Pro Shops. This hourly position directly reports to the Market Asset Protection Manager and maintains and monitors asset protection, security, compliance, and safety-related functions within a facility. The mission is to reduce shrink, maintain accurate inventory, ensure compliance, and provide a safe environment for employees and customers. Responsibilities include administrative reviews of reports, on-floor presence to observe and educate for best practices, and monitoring compliance with safety, inventory, and shrink directives. Essential Functions

Assist in driving training and continued development for all Outfitters on shrink, safety, and security-related functions within a store. Cascade Asset Protection directives and initiatives to store leadership and Outfitters as required. Demonstrate exceptional customer service on the sales floor; interact with customers and address suspicious activity. This is a uniformed position. Identify root causes of shrink by analyzing cycle counts, trailer audits, known loss, vendor compliance opportunities, and other exception reporting. Use data to review inventory adjustments and investigate discrepancies; ensure accountability of inventory and resolve over/short shipments between DC and Store for accuracy. Encourage commitment to asset protection programs with Outfitters and vendors. Promote merchandise protection tools to ensure items are paid for at point of purchase locations and monitor physical security and merchandise protection standards. Monitor facility property and parking areas to maintain a safe and secure environment. Conduct known loss investigations and exception report reviews. Assist with investigations of criminal activity, policy violations, illicit behavior, workplace accidents, and loss events. Monitor criminal cases, appear in court, and testify as warranted. When assigned, conduct information gathering and integrity interviews. Assist in investigating irregularities related to firearms protocols and compliance or process concerns. Ensure asset protection and security systems are maintained and functioning properly. Assist Store leadership by promoting safety programs and participating on safety committees. Prepare detailed and accurate reports in a timely manner. Must possess or be able to obtain any certifications/licenses required by applicable law. Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Degree: Associate or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or related field Certificate(s) or License(s): As required by local jurisdiction Years of experience: Previous experience in security, asset protection, and safety preferred or Retail inventory background Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience conducting criminal, internal, or related investigations Experience using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.) Experience conducting quality reviews / audits Current AHA First Aid / CPR / AED certification preferred Travel Requirements

Travel is not an essential function of the job; if required, it would be less than 10% Physical Requirements

Regularly performs computer work, walks, stands, and lifts up to 50 lbs Occasionally sits Independent Judgment

Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and conducts needs assessments. Uses judgment in applying broad guidelines to achieve desired results. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations affecting policies, procedures, and practices. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor; end results are reviewed by supervisor.
