This position assists department management and is responsible for conducting audits of all Specimen Processing processes to ensure the department maintains high standards in quality and compliance. Audits may include department and individual compliance audits, error tracking, and related activities. The role functions proactively in a problem resolution capacity and works to identify and solve issues related to processing and testing laboratory specimens. There is collaboration with multiple departments including Specimen Processing, Referral Testing, and Technical departments to research and resolve issues, expedite specimen testing, and report results. Responsibilities

Perform audits of Specimen Processing processes to uphold quality and compliance standards. Conduct department and/or individual compliance audits, error tracking, and related assessments as needed. Identify and resolve issues in processing and testing of laboratory specimens; participate in proactive problem resolution. Collaborate with Specimen Processing, Referral Testing, Technical departments, and others to research, resolve, and expedite issues and reporting. Monitor and report on quality data; generate daily and periodic reports to department supervisors. Interpret specimen flow/tracking data using available reports and systems (e.g., LIS, front-end automation, instrumentation). Assist with EMR requisition audits, identify discrepancies, and follow up to ensure data quality and successful transmissions. Provide feedback to supervisors and managers when problems arise; support continuous improvement efforts. Apply knowledge of SOPs, test ordering, reporting, add-on tests, reflex tests, and custom panels to daily tasks. Qualifications

Required Work Experience

Minimum of one year in Problem Resolution Tech/Group Leader or related role (internal candidates). Preferred Work Experience

Minimum of 3 years of lab experience, preferably in a production environment. Medical background with terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory. Previous data/analytics experience. Physical and Mental Requirements

Able to sit or stand for long periods. Work in a biohazard environment with good safety practices. Handle multiple tasks in a production environment. Skills

Excellent communication skills; ability to maintain composure under pressure. Good judgment in problem resolution; adheres to Core Values, safety, and compliance policies. Strong interpersonal skills; adaptable and flexible. Proficient in PC applications (Excel, Word) with data extraction and analysis capabilities. Pay and Benefits

Pay Range:

$19.88 - $29.81 per hour Salary offers are based on a range of factors including skills, training, experience, education, and certifications; market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.
