Overview
The role of the Testing Coordinator is to help ensure that 100% of students perform to the best of their ability in an environment that is conducive to testing. Through the work of the testing coordinator, teachers and leaders can feel confident in the data‑driven decisions they are making for all students at IDEA Public Schools. Ensuring that 100% of students receive the appropriate test accommodations and testing environment will help achieve the goal of our mission of 100% of students to and through college. When this work is executed successfully, the leadership team can focus on the social and emotional support of students and family engagement work.
What We Offer
Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate ranging between $19.53 for 0 years of experience and $24.42.

What You’ll Do — Accountabilities Campus earns an A rating by the Texas Education Agency. Responsibilities include:
Ensure 100% of students have high-quality testing environments for district, state, and national tests to perform at their best.
Attend 100% of scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team.
Own learning by participating in the TC TEAMS group, reviewing training materials, and reading all required testing manuals and documents.
Create and communicate the campus testing plan for all district, state, and national assessments to managers, lead teams, teachers, and staff within established timelines.
Communicate testing schedules and updates to students’ families.
Coordinate with campus IT to ensure all computers used for online testing are ready prior to test day.
Ensure access to the appropriate online testing system for coordinators and students.
Prepare testing bins 72 hours in advance of testing dates, including coordinating with relevant program points for materials.
Review testing bin contents with test proctors two days prior and ensure understanding of implementation.
Audit accommodations and materials with SPED, ELL, 504, RTI and relevant staff before testing.
Process and manage state assessment materials per district guidelines and check materials in/out with the national Assessment Team.
Audit 100% of paper state test booklets and paper answer documents with a trained lead to ensure demographics and student information are correct before returning materials.
Ensure on-time execution of all deliverables requested by the national Assessment Team (data reporting, student counts, computer needs, etc.).
May be appointed as the school’s ACT, PSAT and/or AP Coordinator by the principal.
Performance Targets
Less than 5 procedural irregularities and less than 3 serious testing irregularities for state and national assessments at each assigned school.
Lead campus testing trainings to teach staff policies and procedures for testing execution.
Schedule biweekly meetings with special point persons to ensure accommodations are entered/updated in the applicable system by deadlines.
Schedule test proctor meetings to ensure proper implementation of accommodations, ensuring compliance with guidelines for special populations.
Oversee all testing sessions to maintain policy compliance by proctors and staff.
Collect and act on feedback from testing sessions to improve the experience for students.
Set up and monitor online testing systems to ensure 100% of students are tested in the appropriate format and with approved accommodations, if applicable.
Collaborate with campus IT to ensure 100% of equipment is ready 48 hours prior to testing.
Lead investigations of irregularities at the campus level and report to the national Assessment Team within the designated timelines.
Achieve 95% completion rates of all assessments by deadlines on the assessment calendar and ensure access to assessment systems for teachers and leaders.
