Regional Special Events Specialist Job Summary: Supports the Regional Special Events Senior Specialist in the planning and execution of citywide Special Events & Promotions for all Caesars Las Vegas properties Executes assigned events, promotions and other activities to ensure programs effectively stimulate customer patronage at Caesars Entertainment. Ensure activities are being held to a high standard and on a strict guideline to realize the highest quality. Job Description: Oversee the day-to-day office operations of the Citywide Special Events Department. Assist Regional Special Events Manager and Regional Special Events Senior Specialist with the coordination and execution of all casino event projects. Use the events checklist as an organizational tool for each promotion/event. Oversee citywide event on-call and temporary staffing and scheduling against established event calendar. Assist and coordinate various property/marketing functions assigned. Adhere to timelines and due dates diligently as assigned. Create and distribute internal communications regarding assigned promotion/events. Compile various items required for audit.Ensure each event follows strict checklist and audit/testing procedure protocol to ensure successful event execution. Proactively resolve any guest issue that arises, including the coordination of department assistance when necessary. Resolves client and guest concerns and disputes in a timely fashion. Create production meeting decks prior to event date for Special Events & Promotions and assist the Regional Special Events Senior Specialist with meeting preparation as needed. Complete purchase requisition and invoice payment request(s) to ensure payment for all goods and services. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of property and department policies and procedures and adhere to the attendance policy. Maintain and develop relationships with internal departments and external vendors. Provide assistance to our internal and external customers in a friendly, timely and efficient manner. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive materials. Perform all other job related duties as assigned. Must comply with Responsible Gaming guidelines outlined by Caesars Entertainment andcomplete annual refresher modules. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. One year previous Special Events or Casino Marketing experience preferred. College degree desirable with Marketing, Communications or Business concentration or equivalent or comparable experience preferred. Must be able to coordinate and execute multiple-projects in a fast-paced environment. Must have a professional appearance and be a team player. Ability to organize and maintain a wide variety of activities in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment. Heavy clerical and guest service level experience a must. Excellent interpersonal, communication, teambuilding, and problem-solving skills are required. Computer literate with software systems to include IMB, Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), Adobe, and PKMS systems. Must be flexible to work any day of the week and any shift, including nights and holidays. Minimum 21 years of age and be able to obtain a Gaming Sheriff’s card. Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands: Must be able to move in and around the Casino/Hotel areas and other special eventpromotion locations the entire shift. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods. Must be able to work outdoors and in varying temperatures including extreme heat and humidity. Must be able to keep aware of the constant changes and enhancements of events and promotions. Must be able to respond calmly and handle many customer demands in a fast paced environment. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch. Kneel, twist, balance, and work at a desk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Responds to visual and aural cues. Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer,telephone, photo copy machine, fax machine, ten key, printer and videopoker/slotmachines. Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
