We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.

Paterson, NJ General Summary The Recreation Coordinator’s responsibilities include planning, creating, and implementing recreational programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive needs of clients in residential treatment for substance use disorders. We seek a creative, enthusiastic, energetic, and caring individual with activity experience, time management, and organizational skills. Position Specific Duties and Responsibilities The Recreation Coordinator develops and promotes recreational programs including, but not limited to, music, dance, arts and crafts, cultural presentations, nature study, social recreation, games, and trips. The Recreation Coordinator Will Be Responsible To Facilitate small and large group activities Coordinate facility-based and community activities Organize physical and intellectual activities Encourage social interaction among clients Adapt recreation programs considering clients' age, sex, physical and mental capabilities, interests, and cultural backgrounds Develop procedures for clients to sign up for community recreation programs Schedule activities and coordinate transportation Align recreational activities with scheduled clinical services Build community relationships to promote client integration Maintain documentation and activity records Set goals and objectives for each activity Organize and post a monthly activity calendar with descriptions, dates, and times Maintain an outgoing, positive attitude Protect client confidentiality at all times Meet licensing requirements for recreational activities Record activities in the Electronic Health Records System (EHR) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in recreation administration, physical education, social work, psychology, or a related field, with at least six months of recreation experience or equivalent education/experience. Must have a car, NJ driver’s license with a good driving record, be detail-oriented, flexible, able to work independently, computer literate, and capable of typing.
