Overview McGee & Co. is seeking a creative Video Content Creator and Editor to produce compelling short-form video content for our paid and organic social media campaigns. This role combines technical expertise with creative vision to bring the McGee & Co. brand to life across Meta, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.

The ideal candidate will own video projects from concept to completion—developing creative ideas, shooting native vertical content, and editing polished final cuts that drive engagement, conversions, and brand awareness. You'll handle all aspects of post-production including audio editing, color grading, and optimization for each platform.

This position is perfect for a self-starting creative professional who stays current with social media trends, excels at both filming and editing, and can execute high-quality content with speed and brand consistency. You'll have the opportunity to contribute original concepts while working in a fast-paced environment that values both creativity and results.

Responsibilities

Create short-form, vertical video content (15–60 seconds) for Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels based on creative briefs

Film original video content featuring products, talent, or lifestyle moments to support campaign objectives

Edit and repurpose influencer footage, UGC, and branded assets with motion graphics, captions, and audio overlays

Proactively propose trending audio, hooks, and content ideas aligned with the McGee & Co. aesthetic and audience

Edit video content using CapCut, InShot, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar platforms

Cut raw footage into polished final videos with proper pacing and storytelling

Handle audio editing, level balancing, and music selection for various video projects

Apply color grading and fine-tuning to achieve brand-consistent final edits

Add graphics and visual enhancements to elevate video projects

Follow direction from Paid Media Manager and Creative Director

Collaborate with growth marketing to ideate, test, and iterate ad variations based on performance metrics

Organize and maintain project files and media assets for efficient reuse

Stay current with platform trends and innovations in short-form storytelling

Ensure all creative maintains brand consistency across touchpoints and is delivered on time and on budget

Skills and Qualifications

Background in media, communications, photography, videography, or related technology field

Proven experience editing videos for social media platforms and digital media productions

Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Audition

Proficiency with mobile editing platforms (CapCut, InShot) and other video editing software

Strong understanding of video production tools including cameras, microphones, and recording equipment

Knowledge of best practices for media management and file organization

Ability to take creative direction while contributing original ideas and solutions

Understanding of social media platform specifications, trends, and audience preferences

Eye for visual storytelling, color, composition, and brand consistency

Preferred Qualifications

Experience creating content for lifestyle, home decor, or retail brands

Knowledge of performance marketing and content optimization

Familiarity with motion graphics and basic animation principles
