Role Summary The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a range of events at the winery. This role requires a creative, organized, and customer-focused individual who can manage all aspects of event logistics while ensuring that each event reflects the winery's brand and mission. This role will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals, upselling and cross-selling services across all FFWS businesses and properties and delivering exceptional experience for clients.
This role will be based at one of our Sonoma County wineries in Kenwood or Healdsburg, depending on where the individual resides.
Roles and Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with members of all Foley companies and properties
Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue for event
Set, track, and achieve sales goals for event bookings and related services
Meet with clients to understand their event needs, preference, and budgets
Provide expert recommendations and creative solutions tailored to each client’s vision
Cross Sale between all Foley companies and properties
When necessary, must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Track event expenses, ensuring accurate billing and invoicing
Lead the on-site coordination for winery events, ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting any issues that arise
Supervise staff, vendors, and volunteers, ensuring high standards of service and guest experience
Ensure that all details of the event align with the client's expectations and the winery’s brand standards
Manage the vendor timeline and coordination to ensure timely delivery of service, including but not limiting floor plans, rentals, permitting, staffing, and all logistics as needed
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of wine club and customer loyalty programs is required
Knowledge of food and beverage operations and service delivery is required
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong public speaking and presentation skills; must be comfortable in front of large and small audiences both virtually and in person
Possess versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Proficient in computer, POS, CRM, sales analysis and reporting
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience is required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Minimum five years’ experience managing events in winery or hotel industry is required
