Job Summary: POLITICO is seeking a sharp and energetic editor for their daily and weekly politics and policy newsletters. The newsletter editor will manage the evening newsletter editing workload, ensuring editorial excellence and maintaining standards while directly line editing multiple newsletters each night. Responsibilities: • Edit newsletters in our content management system for accuracy and clarity, as well as fact-check and copy edit, ensuring adherence to POLITICO standards and style • Manage evening newsletter workload in collaboration with other members of the newsletter editing team and newsroom reporters and editors • Support editing needs of any of our newsroom platforms and teams as needed Qualifications: Required: • 3+ years of relevant journalism experience • Rigorous commitment to fair-minded, nonpartisan journalism • Strong organization and communication skills and ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced newsroom • Experience in digital publishing and content management systems • Working knowledge of AP style Company: Politico is an online, mobile, and print destination for coverage and analysis of Congress, The Whitehouse, and politics in the U.S. Founded in 2010, the company is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, USA, with a team of 501-1000 employees.
