MedStar Health is expanding the Neurology service line in the Baltimore region and is seeking leaders who deliver a patient-centered experience and strive for excellence in clinical care. We aim to create partnerships to improve population health, sustain professional relationships, and foster an inclusive environment for patients and staff. We are adding neurologists at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC) and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital (MUMH) in the Baltimore area. The Department of Neurology at MFSMC supports a strategic hospital and ambulatory clinic for neurology care. The hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and re-accredited as an ANCC Magnet-Designated Hospital. We have developed a Neuro-ICU, Neurovascular, and Vascular Neurosurgical group, and our Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, and Neuromuscular Divisions are growing, including ABRET accreditation, a multi-disciplinary Huntington’s disease clinic, a functional neurosurgical program, and a multi-disciplinary ALS clinic. An experienced, full-time research coordinator dedicated to the MFSMC Neurology Department supports interested clinicians in research. Ideal candidates will have completed fellowship training. Positions are principally outpatient. MFSMC openings include Headache, Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular, Vascular, and Vestibular services, while MUMH is seeking Neuromuscular. Responsibilities
Provide outpatient clinical care in the specified neurology subspecialties at MFSMC and MUMH. Engage in collaboration with affiliated departments and participate in multidisciplinary care models. Participate in academic activities and research with available institutional support. Support and contribute to program development in neurointensive care, neurovascular, and related areas as appropriate to service needs. Qualifications
Fellowship-trained in neurology; subspecialty training as listed above is preferred. Eligibility for academic appointment with Georgetown University Medical Center (as part of MedStar Health). Interest in leadership, clinical excellence, and patient-centered care. Compensation and Benefits
