Overview

The Marketing Communications Specialist – Americas will be responsible for developing and executing regional marketing communication strategies that support commercial objectives across the US, Canada, and Latin America. This role will collaborate with Global Marketing and Commercial Marketing to oversee the localization, creation, and deployment of customer-facing content and campaigns across cataract, retina, and glaucoma portfolios. Working closely with regional marketing, sales, training, and global product teams, this position ensures consistent messaging, branding, and execution across all channels—including digital, print, events, and internal communications. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of content strategy, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive brand visibility, commercial impact, and field readiness across the Americas. Responsibilities

Manage the creation, localization, and deployment of marketing assets—brochures, digital content, presentations, videos, sales tools, and tradeshow materials—in collaboration with product marketing and asset localization in collaboration with regional teams. Serve as a key liaison between GL and Commercial Marketing on branding, content, and campaign timelines. Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity across all regional communications and campaigns. Partner with regional sales teams to deliver field-ready messaging and tools that drive adoption and customer engagement. Coordinate and support content needs for regional product launches, training events, congresses, and KOL programs. Track performance metrics for content usage and campaign effectiveness, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong writing, editing, and messaging development skills tailored to clinical and technical audiences. Experience managing regional marketing communications or content strategy within a healthcare or medical device company. Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines across geographies with attention to detail. Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a matrixed environment. Understanding of digital channels, campaign workflows, and field communication tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and content/project management platforms. Experience working with regulatory and legal review processes preferred. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required. Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing communications, preferably within healthcare, medical devices, or life sciences. Regional experience in the Americas with familiarity in both U.S. and LATAM markets is preferred. Fluency in English required; Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus.
