Overview MHTN Architects is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Experiential Graphic Designer with 6+ years of experience to join our interdisciplinary design team. This role is central to shaping the visual and emotional experience of architectural spaces across a wide range of project types, including K-12 and higher education, commercial, religious, medical, and municipal environments.

As an Experiential Graphic Designer, you will conceptualize, design, and execute integrated graphic solutions that enhance placemaking, wayfinding, and brand storytelling within the built environment. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, planners, and project managers to ensure that your work aligns with project vision, client identity, and architectural intent.

This is a hands-on role that blends creativity with technical precision. You’ll be responsible for developing production-ready artwork, preparing files for fabrication, and coordinating with vendors to ensure high-quality execution. Your work will directly impact how people navigate, understand, and connect with the spaces we design.

What You’ll Do

Design and implement experiential graphics, including wayfinding systems, signage, branded environments, and storytelling elements that integrate seamlessly with architectural finishes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align graphic design with architectural vision, project timelines, and client goals.

Develop and present compelling design concepts to clients and stakeholders, clearly articulating the rationale behind your creative decisions.

Prepare files for print and digital distribution, including pre-flighting, color correction, and image optimization.

Conduct quality control reviews of all deliverables and coordinate with fabricators on shop drawings and installation.

Stay current with industry trends, sustainability practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.

What You Bring

6+ years of experience in Graphic Design

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with Revit, CAD tools for Illustrator, or other 3D modeling software is a plus.

Strong understanding of branding, storytelling, and how they translate into the built environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, error-free work on time and within budget.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Familiarity with prepress and production processes, including color management and file preparation for both print and digital media.

Knowledge of sustainable design best practices and involvement in professional organizations is preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in graphic design is a plus!
