Overview
The Porter will be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas of the venue including the main floor, seating bowl, balcony, locker rooms, bathrooms, suites, etc. before, during, and after events. Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all venue areas before, during, and after events (main floor, seating bowl, balcony, locker rooms, bathrooms, suites, etc.). Work in a loud, fast-paced environment and follow safety precautions and guidelines at all times. Be capable of lifting 50 lbs without assistance; stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, a positive attitude, and a team-oriented mindset. Be available to work hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is located at the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
