Overview
Payroll Administrator needed for a private nonprofit college in Los Angeles. This is a consulting role supported by Jobot Consulting (hosted by Gene Choi). Base pay range:
$28.00/hr - $35.00/hr Interested candidates should apply through the Easy Apply process. Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients, including data collection, calculations, and submissions. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Provide consultation to clients on payroll matters, such as tax deductions, benefit deductions, and payroll laws. Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review. Resolve any payroll discrepancies or irregularities. Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure smooth and efficient payroll operations. Maintain knowledge of current regulations, company policies, and best practices in payroll processing. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. Qualifications
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in payroll administration. Previous consulting experience is highly desirable. Proven expertise in Paycor payroll software Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations. Solid understanding of wage deductions, benefits, and payroll taxes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
