Overview

EV Powertrain Functional Safety Engineer role within Powertrain Advance Development. Responsible for leading ISO 26262 safety lifecycle activities for the EV Powertrain system. Responsibilities

Lead and execute the complete functional safety lifecycle for the EV Powertrain system. Develop and maintain Safety Plans, Item Definitions, Safety Goals, FSRs, and TSRs. Translate safety requirements into software and hardware safety mechanisms, ensuring traceability and compliance. Hazard and Risk Analysis (HARA): conduct HARA for the EV Powertrain system; perform confirmation reviews and corrective actions; collaborate with system architects to derive and allocate safety requirements. Safety Concept Development: create and review Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC) for the EV Powertrain system and EV Controller. Safety Analysis and Verification: perform and review FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, and FTA for various systems/subsystems; MIL, HIL, and PIL testing for validation of safety requirements; support safety case development, including documentation and audit readiness. Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration: work with software, hardware, validation, and supplier teams. Process and Compliance Management: apply ASPICE, V-model, and other software development processes to ensure systematic software safety capability; support internal process improvements and contribute to safety engineering best practices. Core Experience

5+ years of experience in Functional Safety for EV Powertrain systems. Proven track record in executing the complete safety lifecycle activities as per ISO 26262. Technical Expertise

Strong command over: HARA, FSC, FSR, TSR, TSC; FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, FTA; Safety Case, Safety Plan, and in-vehicle testing; experience with MIL, HIL, and PIL testing environments. Process Knowledge

Familiarity with ASPICE, V-model, and system/software development processes; ability to translate safety concepts into software and hardware implementations. Tools and Methodologies

Hands-on experience with tools for safety analysis and requirement management; exposure to requirements and change management systems. Desirable

FuSa certification from TÜV or other reputed organization. Behavioral
