Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPower’s Natrium team. Selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, Natrium is participating in a DOE initiative to re-establish U.S. leadership in nuclear energy that provides matching funding to industry to design and build an operational advanced reactor.
TerraPower, a leading advanced generation technology company founded by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, will be deploying its 345 MWe sodium fast reactor (SFR), called Natrium. The Natrium plant features an advanced, cost-competitive reactor design that is safer, simpler, easier, and less costly to construct, less expensive to operate, and able to provide energy that is competitive with fossil fuels.
Job Summary:
Within Plant Design track, coordinate and issue all isometric and support drawings and associated revisions. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Major Responsibilities:
Track, coordinate and issue all isometric and support drawings and associated revisions. Support Plant Design processes and schedule for issuing design deliverables. Leads isometric status meetings with Plant Design team to meet schedule. Maintain effective interface and communication with multiple disciplines. Develop and issue Interdisciplinary Coordination (IDC) reviews for Plant Design deliverables. Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 5-6 years of experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills:
US Citizen or have the right to legally work and remain in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education. Basic knowledge of Plant Design Activities. Engineering Procurement and Construction work process. Experience using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Access and TEAMS).
