Dow Jones & Co. is seeking a Deputy Personal Finance Editor - Money for WSJ | Buy Side. The role edits and writes money coverage for a consumer audience, helping readers make sense of their money from selecting the right financial advisor to home equity lines of credit, choosing the right bank to estate planning. WSJ | Buy Side is independent of The Wall Street Journal newsroom and focuses on helping consumers make smart decisions about how to spend their time and money. Deputy Personal Finance Editor - Money The deputy editor will edit and write articles on financial topics, with a strong knowledge of personal finance and the ability to explain complex topics in an engaging, accurate and distinctive way. The editor will ensure articles meet high journalism standards while guiding readers and will be responsible for writing new articles, updating existing articles, and editing content. Responsibilities

Edit personal finance articles and work with staff writers to ensure accuracy and adherence to the Buy Side Style Guide. Rewrite existing WSJ Buy Side personal finance content. Maintain evergreen articles through regular updates to ensure relevancy for a WSJ audience. Collaborate with partners to provide useful service to readers. Write and edit content that upholds editorial standards to deliver independent and unbiased reporting. Ensure accuracy and journalistic standards for all content. You have

5+ years of personal finance reporting/editing experience. Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with delivery of quality content. Ability to identify problems in copy quickly and clearly communicate edits and wording. Familiarity with affiliate revenue operations and search engine optimization is preferred. Finance certification (e.g., CFP) is a plus but not required. Ideal candidates will have experience on staff in a news environment. Accommodation and Equal Opportunity

Pay Range: $95,000 - $120,000.
