Overview
The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and being the focal point for promotions and special events at Live Casino Hotel Maryland. The coordinator acts as the lead for promotions and events and will perform special projects at the direction of the Promotions and/or Special Events Managers. Successful promotions and events are an integral part of Live Casino Hotel being the #1 regional gaming and entertainment experience. Responsibilities
Upbeat & Positive Attitude Team Player Contributes to program development to help the department achieve its goals Ensures that all patrons are treated promptly, professionally and courteously during promotions or events Assists in arranging all entertainment for special events and promotions Handles patron and team member questions, complaints or problems pertaining to promotions or events promptly Responsible for detailed planning and execution of events and promotions as directed by manager Assists all on- and off-site marketing programs, promotions, and special events to increase casino revenues; tracks and analyzes these programs Completes reports, database updates, and correspondence in a timely manner to meet deadlines Works with selected third parties to ensure flawless planning and execution of their events when held on property Ensures event and promotion projects meet established timelines and stay within budget Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to company policies Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and/or Entertainment field preferred or equivalent professional experience Event planning, VIP services and general hosting experience preferred Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite Physical Requirements
Ability to work extended hours across all shifts in a 24/7 work environment Exposure to smoke, bright lights and loud noises in a large casino environment Work in an environment where smoking is allowed What We Offer
