Position Summary The Multilingual Academic Interventionist will be based at the central office and report to the Sr. Director of Multilingual Education. The MLL AI will support teachers in schools with Multilingual Learners, helping adapt curriculum and providing targeted small group interventions. The role involves traveling to schools, collaborating with staff, and using data-driven strategies to improve student outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Evidence of coursework in Mathematics, English/ELA, Reading, Science, or Bilingual

Minimum three (3) years of work experience directly with students

Understanding and commitment to academic intervention activities for grades 1-12

Essential Functions

Effective communication and collaboration with staff, families, and community members

Creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment

Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans

Assisting teachers with instructional tasks for small groups or individuals

Differentiating instruction based on student needs

Supporting students in Mathematics, English/ELA, Reading, and Bilingual skills

Using technology to enhance English proficiency

Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions accordingly

Traveling between schools to provide instruction and support

Developing intervention plans aligned with WIDA levels and student needs

Collaborating with teachers to differentiate instruction for multilingual learners

Applying SIOP methods to support language and content learning
