Genesis10 is seeking an Event Planner for a 12-month contract position in Charlotte, NC. Compensation: $35.32 per hour. Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in/ 2 days remote) We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Event Planner
to support our Public Affairs team with external engagement events and sponsorship hospitality programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that sponsorship events are executed flawlessly and in full compliance with internal policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong event logistics and hospitality experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation. Responsibilities
Event Implementation & On-Site Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute external engagement sponsorship events. Serve as on-site lead to ensure smooth execution of hospitality and sponsorship activations, managing guest experiences and vendor coordination.
Policy & Procedure Compliance
Maintain and enforce policy and procedure documentation for all sponsorship hospitality events and client hosting activities. Provide accurate and timely evidence demonstrating that all compliance requirements were met for each event.
Logistics & Administration
Coordinate hospitality logistics, including invitations, ticket allocations, catering, transportation, and guest communications. Manage ticketing through the organization\'s Ticket Management System, ensuring accuracy and compliance with distribution guidelines. Track expenses, guest lists, and post-event reporting to support audit and sponsorship effectiveness reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a customer-facing representative, ensuring a high-touch, professional hospitality experience for all external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Proven experience in
event planning, hospitality management, or sponsorship logistics . Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience managing
policy documentation and compliance evidence
related to events. Ability to travel domestically up to
40%
for event implementation. Experience using a
