Overview
Marketing Specialist - VolShop - UTK role at University of Tennessee, Knoxville. This position supports and coordinates specialty communications and marketing functions. Tasks vary day to day and input on how tasks are completed is provided by policies, procedures, and standards. Non-routine tasks are referred to a higher level. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall acceptability. Occasional communications support after normal business hours and work on football Saturdays during the season may be required. Responsibilities
Monitor all social accounts and engage with the customer base. Create graphics using Adobe Suite products: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc. Create signage, communication collateral, and marketing pieces with strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Proficiency in website photography and editing digital photos. Ability to work on a deadline and handle multiple projects concurrently. Assist marketing team with content creation for in-store promotions/signage, social media, the website, marketing campaigns, and the app. Work closely with the buying team to promote products and create engaging content. Identify audience/customer trends. Analyze campaign success. Add items to the website from photographing images to writing copy for item descriptions. Shooting and editing video. Qualifications
Minimum requirements: High School diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree preferred 1 year experience in marketing and/or design environment Demonstrated experience using Adobe Suite products for project development/design 1 year retail experience Experience with creative design: photography, graphics, copy writing, etc. preferred Experience in professional use of social media About Us
