Roxbury Treatment Center is currently hiring a full-time Counselor to work in our Substance Use Disorder Unit. This is a Monday - Friday day position with evening and/or weekend hours as necessary.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
The Substance Use Disorder Counselor is responsible for developing and carrying out treatment and direct patient care for adults within the substance abuse detox and rehabilitation program for the recovery of chemical dependency, substance abuse or addictions. The work involves interviewing chemically dependent patients, completing assessments and social histories, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, conducting orientation for new admissions, and developing and implementing individual treatment plans.

Qualifications Education:
Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in Counseling, Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Psychology or other related field
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in Counseling, Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Psychology or other related field and one year of clinical experience
Associates Degree from an accredited college with a major in Counseling, Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Psychology or other related field and two years of clinical experience
Licensed RN with one year of counseling experience in a health/human services field
Certified addictions counselor
