Mobile Crisis Counselor

Coleman Health Services, a nationally recognized mental health and substance use service provider, is seeking a crisis therapist to be part of a co-responder mobile crisis team with area first responders in Union County. We are currently looking for a full-time licensed therapist. Employee Package includes*: $55,000 to $80,000 salary range depends on educational level, licensure level, experience and shift worked from Supervision toward independent licensure if needed Flexible Spending Account Annual Wellness Reimbursement Accrue three weeks of paid time off during first year of employment Reimbursement for credential renewals *Some items listed may only be offered to certain employment statuses Job Duties for a Mobile Crisis Therapist Co-Responder: Co-respond with law enforcement or other first responders to behavioral health crises Triage, de-escalation, assessment, safety plan and link persons to behavioral health services Coordinate transportation for crisis stabilization Provide follow up for individuals who have experienced a mental health emergency at an emergency department Coordinate and collaborate with community resources and stakeholders Outcome reporting Performance improvement Community engagement and education Minimum Qualifications for a Mobile Crisis Therapist: A bachelor's degree or master's degree in Social Work and Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) A master's degree in Community Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling and licensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Willing to obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and Ohio Medicaid Provider Number (we will help) Excellent Driving Record Trauma focused and strength-based philosophy Exercises balanced judgment in highly charged situations while remaining calm and consistent Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preference given to: Willingness to work hours other than 8am-5pm, for example noon to 8pm M-F.
