Overview Adjunct, Health Education. Part-time, on-site position at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ. Adjunct positions remain posted continuously to expand the pool of qualified adjunct faculty. Screening of applications will commence when an open position becomes available. The majority of adjunct teaching assignments are in-person and on-campus; in rare circumstances, adjuncts may be assigned to teach a hybrid or online course.

Responsibilities

Teach 3-6 credits during the semester.

Develop and deliver course lectures, discussions, and assignments in accordance with the curriculum, learning objectives, and learning outcome assessment process.

Utilize the online learning platform (eCampus) to enhance the student learning experience. At a minimum, the course syllabus must be posted to the eCampus course shell.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and academic success.

Develop and administer projects and exams to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide grades in a timely manner.

Provide timely feedback and guidance to students to support their learning and development.

Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in public health, health education, or a related field.

Knowledge and experience in health education, health science, public health, or content to be taught.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree.

Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification. Master Certified Health Education (MCHES) certification.

Teaching experience at the university/college level.
